About King Crab Caviar
King Crab Caviar is an exclusive product made from the roe of the red king crab (paralithodes camtschaticus). Polar Berlevåg Kongekrabbe is the first manufacturer in Norway to produce a commercial product from red king crab eggs. The caviar comes in two natural colours, deep purple and dark brown, which we have decided to maintain by not adding food colouring. There is no difference in size or taste between the two. Our caviar has a strong taste and slightly bitter aftertaste. Its taste is particularly favoured by caviar lovers, also due to its fresh sea flavour. Our caviar is very crispy and has good bite firmness, important qualities for caviar products. King Crab Caviar contains no additives and is delivered fresh frozen from Berlevåg. King Crab Caviar is highly freeze-resistant and scientific tests have shown that the roe granules tolerate freezing and thawing extremely well. The juicy and crispy eggs are not damaged by the freezing process. The perishability of the product from the time of production is at least 6 months. Our goal with this product is to create a caviar product that is as natural as possible, just as nature intended.
